Presslines Telephone Message Board Applications
Presslines Service Overview
The Presslines telephone service provides a telephone based "Audio Noticeboard" where an operator leaves recorded messages which are heard by callers ringing into the system, hence Presslines is a "One to Many" message broadcasting service that operates by telephone.
Messages are played to callers "Newest first" followed by older recordings in order, so callers always hear the latest information first.
This makes the Presslines service suitable anywhere regularly updated information needs to be made available to many people, with no requirement for special equipment or training either to update the system with new messages, or to access the system to hear the current information.
Once set up, the only requirement is for telephone access to the system, making it suitable for users of all ages and abilities and allowing access from anywhere with a working landline or mobile telephone.
The ability to update the system with just a telephone call also avoids difficulties with Internet or Email access through company firewalls and such like. Presslines can be implemented in any organisation without costly or time consuming IT changes.
Updates can be made live instantly and also disabled at a later time if required.
The Presslines servers can also generate notification emails logging events such as new recordings, deletion of recordings and other administration changes. This provides an audit trail for users of the service and can include a copy of the recordings made live for future referance or transcription.
